Happy Monday! Coach Dakota here with another friendly, persistent reminder that USAS membership is crucial to gaining experience and competing at a high level. 

If your child wishes to compete at USA Swimming-sanctioned competitions (i.e. CMSA in Mobile, GPAC in Pensacola, etc.) they MUST be registered as an athlete in the USAS system. USAS requires a 30-day advance of membership before entry. (If your child is a transfer from another team, they will be listed as unattached for a 60-day transitional period.) Therefore, please see the following:

10/18-10/20 OBST @ Auburn
USAS: Need to be a member by this Friday 9/13
RSVP by 9/16

11/9 OBST @ Gulf Shores
RSVP by 11/1

11/22-11/24 OBST @ Pensacola
USAS: Need to be a member by 10/18
RSVP by 11/1

12/7 OBST @ Gulf Shores
RSVP by 11/19

I expect most swimmers to become members of USAS as a part of OBST. Please know that you will get more out of your membership financially the sooner you register because no matter what USA's fiscal year begins and ends on 9/1 annually.
