Hi OBST parents, 

I want to remind everyone that this Saturday, 11/09 in Gulf Shores will be the Thanksgiving Challenge Meet held at the Bodenhamer Rec Center. Our warm-up time is 8 a.m., so please be on deck by 7:45 a.m. We will be located in lanes 4-6 as we have 22 athletes attending this meet -- SO exciting! 

All swimmers should be in a plain royal blue suit or their competition suit, as well as wearing their OBST cap. BRING YOUR ORANGE OBST SHIRT! I'd like to take a team photo on the bleachers after the meet. 

Please remember your chairs, extra towels, back-up goggles, sharpies/highlighters, healthy snacks, water, etc. There will be a concession stand (but I'd rather swimmers stay away from there as it's usually all junk food). Remember, you can always access the handbook online. I will attach the, "what to pack in your swim bag for a swim meet" doc to this e-mail as well. 

There might be a change in which GS will ask us to provide a couple of timers. If some parents would be willing to step in, that would be greatly appreciated. Coach Baylen will not be present; He is out of town. My mom will be in attendance again and she's the ultimate swim mom who has been through it all, so feel free to ask myself or her any questions/assistance.

11/9 Thanksgiving Challenge Meet in GS
11/24 Gravy Bowl Invitational at GPAC (Sunday Only)
11/25 NO PRACTICE (for those who swam at GPAC)
11/26 last practice of the season (FYI: next year we will continue into the first week of December and go back a week later in January - it works better for competition schedule)
12/3 OBST appearance at The Wharf's Christmas Tree Lighting (details to come)
12/7 Christmas Challenge Meet in GS (entries due on 12/5)
1/6 first practice back for Winter/Spring season
