12/3 OB Tree Lighting Ceremony - PLS READ!

Hi team,

I have previously notified everyone about our participation in the City of Orange Beach's tree lighting ceremony that takes place annually at The Wharf. This year we originally were going to be apart of the countdown on stage, but now that city would like for us to escort the man of the hour, Santa Claus, himself!

The event coordinator would like for us to arrive at The Wharf at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec 3rd to get situated. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the tree is to be lit by 6 p.m. (roughly).

We will provide elf ears, a hat, and a LED Christmas bulb necklace for each athlete that participates in order to have a jolly crew of elves ride with Santa Claus up and down down main street.  We will have a 15-passenger golf cart for the little ones to ride on while the rest will walk side-by-side parade style. As we are doing so, OBST will be introduced over the loud speaker along with what we have built and accomplished thus far. In addition to the elf attire, please have your children dressed in their orange OBST t-shirt and jeans. If it's chilly, please feel free to wear a sweater or longsleeve shirt underneath our team t-shirt.

After we are introduced and escort jolly Ol' Saint Nick, you and yours are more than welcome to walk about and experience the event in addition to joining our booth. We will have a table set-up in which swimmers can pass out buttons/stickers/candy, and help us promote OBST.

I understand if you are unable to attend, however, the more the merrier! We want to adequately represent ourselves. If you plan to attend, PLEASE RSVP on our calendar so that I may give the event coordinator an accurate head count.

THANK YOU ALL! :)
