3/10 OBST Weekly Newsletter
Happy daylight-saving, makos!
This time of year means that our dry land workouts will be making a comeback! On Tuesdays/Thursdays, Orange will have drylands 4-4:30 and swim until 5:30 p.m. while Junior/Senior will have drylands from 4-4:30 and swim until 6 p.m. Make sure to have sneakers packed!
Our most pressing matter, please RSVP by Friday, March 14th for the St. Paddy's Splash in Gulf Shores on Friday, 3/21 at 5:30 p.m. This meet will be held inside the Bodenhamer Rec Center and is open to all athletes. (Our warm-up will most likely be 4:30 or 5 p.m., but that is still TBD by host team.) Please mark your child's attendance by March 14th and have the $15 entry fee paid no later than March 17th.
There are a number of athletes who do not have certain equipment. Please review the "Uniform & Equipment" page under the "Programs" tab in SwimTopia and make sure your athlete has the necessary equipment per group. Our club portal with Swim & Tri is set up and you may access it here: https://www.SwimAndTri.com/TeamView_OrangeBeachSwimTeamAL.aspx
If you are looking for team shirts, both the classic OBST shortsleeve and the Got Grit? longsleeve are for sale at the front desk of OBAC.
Registration for summer swim (May 27-July 25) will open on April 1st! If you need to take a peek at the schedule, the schedule is published on SwimTopia as well as the city website. At this time, we will still have afternoon practices due to swim lesson programing and EE camp taking over the pool from 8-3:30 p.m.
